Its 2021 pool player stereotypes vary but its still fun to share.
When talking to non pool players about pool their first thoughts are always include gambling.
That was never what pool meant to me.
Most excitement in pool for me is from intensity, when I dial in and find the focus and form. Once I reach that state, after that its just pure fun.
Here is to 2021 and re-imagining the pool stereotype.
There are people like:
The countless pro players reaching out through social media with workout inspiration.
DrDave I think he has a PHD (even nerds go to pool rooms) and he streams.
Bob Jewett he wrote the rulebook.
SJM (I think you'd be great for billiard trivia) usually posts something clever or revealing on facts.
I think DrDave is the youngest on the list. And he is the most open with streaming.
This doesn't even include all the tech savvy people that started the streaming game.
Carom Cafe in NYC has been live streaming their tables for years.
I think the pool industry is full of innovation.
Pool is not just about pocketing a ball, pocketing balls happens but the engine to do that is not well understood.
Billiards is my favorite sport industry.
Its not big time, but its big on great people.
This forum is amazing. I know it got emotional but I had to let it out.
As for anybody that didn't get mentioned, this is professional advertising to support the forum and its users.
I would have included all the people that are funny and jovial, but this post was meant more for development purposes.
