Kid Delicious Event in Myrtle Beach

Hello everybody:
I haven't posted in a while, ...so I want everybody to know that the Event in Myrtle Beach was postponed due to the hurricane, but IS STILL ON FOR SAT. OCT. 8, 8PM.
Kid Delicious, Danny Basavich, will be in town for a exhibition of trick shots, general entertainment, and stories from his career on the road hustling. As you know, he went pro for a short career and was at the top. He wants to show you that he can still shoot!
Prior to the exhibition, Danny will give lessons individually and in groups. RSVP to secure a time. These will continue on Sunday the 9th also. Call Allen at 843-360-9832 for details and to claim your time.
Afterwards, Kid D. will take on all challengers in challenge racks of 9-ball. If you can beat him, you win a prize. We will have pictures, autographed books, balls, and other merchandise for sale.
There will be a raffle drawing at 11, we are giving away 3 cue cases, dvd's, books, and other stuff.

Is Basavich retired?

Just started reading "Running the Table"......pretty interesting.....wondering why I haven't seen him playing tournaments........is he retired now?

Yea, he's kinda retired. He gives lessons now, and makes and sells instructional dvd's. The movie possibility has resurfaced again through a different producer. After he turned pro, and rose to the top, the tour folded (I think this happened twice). This greatly frustrated Danny, and depressed him (he didn't want to quit the road and turn pro anyway). So he kinda retired.
 
Danny spent some time with us at Mother's in Charlotte for awhile. I have to say he's down to earth, super friendly and VERY entertaining. His stories are reason enough alone to attend this event.:thumbup:
