$25,000 Cue

Grady

Pro Player
I am proud to announce that Leonard Bludworth has been commissioned to build a $25,000 cue for me. It will be ready around January 2004. We have yet to decide where to have the “unveiling”.

This work of art will have four shafts, a pretty much matching break cue and a kick-ass cue case. I am already dreaming of the ivory, sterling silver and scrimshaw detail. We will, of course, attach the X-1 Stabilizer to it.

It’s a real pleasure to be associated with my old friend Leonard again, not to mention having probably the best hitting cue in all of pooldom.

CONGRADULATIONS GRADY and BLUD!!

Considering some of Bluds past and current cue designs, I'm sure that this one of a kind set of Bludworth Originals might have a $25,000 price tag on it, but will be priceless to Grady! I can't wait to see this cue unveiled in Jan04! Please keep us up to date where this will take place.

Best of luck to both of you and God bless!!

What will the cue be made of? When you get it, please post a picture in the cue gallery forum.

Grady...I have always heard great things about you and after reading your post I know you are.....THE MAN!!

Definitely keep us up to date during the construction of your cue. I always like seeing other peoples cues...I am sure these will be extraordinary.

Grady

Grady, Good luck to you and Leonard on your new cue venture. Also want to thank you for the wonderful time you and Mrs. Randie showed us at your Senior Tour event in Naples. The final six or eight matches should have been televised as the play was so terrific. Keep your chin up, we're not just getting older, we're getting better, like aged whiskey (lol). Your friend always, Humphrey:D

Doesn't the limbsaver weigh 7 or 8 ounces? How will it effect cue balance?I think adding that much weight to the very butt tip would change one's stroke. IMO billy

I'am very honored to have been chosen by Grady to build this cue out of the many fine cuemakers of today. I have had many request to tell what the $25,000.00 cue will look like. So here goes, Ebony front, with ivory inlays, white gold trim in and out of the inlays, with real nice white, clear, high end diamonds, butt will be all ivory, with lots and lots of scrimshawing, and a few new design suprises, in the whole cue. 4 shafts with ivory ferrules and a semi-matching break cue with 2 shafts. Dates and ect, when Grady won several world championships, along with other accomplishments, through out his career.

Hi Billy Jungle. I don't know what the stabilizer weighs but when you hold it in the palm of your hand, it feels like nothing. It certainly doesn't feel like extra weight when installed.
And deadstroke32: I've tried various cues but have decided to play exclusively with the Bludworth.

You tell em Grady, they will never get my $6,600 Bludworth. They don't know what they are missing. I once heard, If it ain't a Blud, Its a dud. Can,t remember who said that.
Don

Hi Don,
Thanks for the kind words about my cues. It appears that I'll keep real busy on these new cues called, "THE CONNOISSURE COLLECTION" by Bludworth, for month's to come. [ Don, you might should place your new order, cause I'am gettin busy].
BTW, folks Don collects my cues.

Don, Grady and I have been good friends forever. He played with my cues for years. Then I went into building lots of machinery for myself and many other cuemakers. He tried other cues in the past. Now he's "BACK". So am I.

I have been back building cues for a few years now. I have made a promise to several players, customers and many collectors, including you, and Grady, that I'am here to stay with my new collectable line.

Again, I will continue to build the Bludworth Originals as in the past. Not all can aford the higher end cues, but for those who can aford the originals, I will not quit building them. You are the folks who stood by me from the get go.

Thanks to one and all for the support that has been shown to me over the years. I will do my very best to build nothing but "KICK-ASS CUES" .....

BTW, Grady, our good friend Red Walling said to say hello. Janice and I, had a nice dinner with Red and his wife, Terrie last Sunday.

Blud,

How long have you been building cues? The cue sounds really nice, should be a piece of art. What is the most expensive cue you ever built? What materials did you use? Sorry for all the questions, just curious.

1 @ $25,000.00 and 1 @$100,000.00, ebony, ivory, yellow gold, diamonds. The first one was for Kevin Treadeau, [meg-memorie guy] and the other was for a Texan from Dallas, [real, rich texan] who is not to be named as per our agreement,Mike [blank]. He's in a divorce at this writting. Poor guy. He's getting poorer. His wife isn't.....
Cue cost, I have built several from $3,500.00 up to $9,500.00. I just finished 1 for $4,500.00 and 1 for $6,500.00 speck cues. It's a big undertaking building these cues. It takes month's and month's to get them built, sold, and a lot of money tied up for all those month's. The last 8 cues I built, averaged about 6K each. I enjoy building cues, period, low end or high end cues. There seems to be more customer/collectors below7K mark. I never have worked this hard. it seems the older I get the more I like to work.

rock and roll

$ 100,000 holy crap!:eek:

Would you have to change the way you usually build cues, using exotic materials? You don't see too many cues with gold and diamond's in it. Would you set the diamond's like a jeweller? Or, would you epoxy/glue them?

We need a custom cue builder like you in Canada.

Thanks Blud,

Kent Mc
