The Tulsa boys are 0 for 2 showing up the last 2 years. I hope to see some of them this year. So far this tournament has been the Joey Gray show. We did get Jeff Melton here last year and he finished 2nd.

3 reasons for no jump cues. 1st I like to see good defensive play rewarded. 2nd I like to see people make great kick shots and I think no jump cues makes people work on their kicking game. 3rd Too many amatuers see better players jump and think they can do it and end up jabbing holes in the cloth and tearing up equipment.

here is my house rule. you can jump a ball with your playing cue (not your break cue) if you want to. if you jab a hole in the cloth you are out of here. I don't mind someone jumping the edge of a ball with their playing cue because it requires very little elevation, but full ball jump shots in short distances requires a lot of elevation and a higher risk to the table. I know experienced players can perform this shot without damaging the table, but the idiot watching from the corner doesn't understand this and he tries it and I have to spend $300.00 to recover the table.
