28 Ball Run (Video Included)

Had the camera rolling yesterday during practice, and this was my best run of the day. Came so close to breaking my high run (36), and then completely dogged a very makeable break shot.

My end pattern in the 2nd rack is absolute proof of why proper position is so vital. My plan was 2-7-11, but I end up with the wrong angle on the 2, and that causes me to hit the 11. I got really lucky that the 11 ended up where it did, and allowed me a chance to get on the 7 as a break ball. Unfortunately, like I said, I just flat out dogged the shot.

I am getting more comfortable and confident at picking apart a rack, and knowing what to look for. I still struggle with my end game though.

You do realize you moved the CB after the first rack, don't you?

LOL.... that is really funny!... Well, I know that his heart is into it and he is really trying.
BeiberLvr.... you are not allowed to re-start your cue ball.

PS: It is really hard to give you any tips with the camera angle being so poor. Just something to keep in mind. I do realize that in a pool room it is hard to set up.

I think he knows it, but didn't realize he did it. Danny H. did the same thing and thought he had a much higher run than the one he saw while reviewing the video. In Jon's case, it's a little "oops" moment. In poor Danny's case it led to a major embarrassment.

He can go behind the headstring if the cue ball stops in the racking area - which is what I believe he did here.

Silly me. I just watched it again and you are right. He moved out of the way with the rack. I thought he moved it aside with his hand.

Nice shooting, Beib. I have yet to make it past 14. :embarrassed2:

I take back the first part of my original statement. Gerry, you are correct. The cue ball was in the rack area. As he moves the rack forward it touches the cue ball.
Camera angle..... I stand with the second part of my original statement (the PS part).

See if you can get a gorilla grip tripod. You can hang those off of anything and they work great in pool rooms. This will really help that camera angle.
