29" vs 30" deflection ratings....anyone know for sure?

Has anyone ever tested this and if so where can find the results? I am looking to either the 314(2) or a OB-1. I play with 60" (30/30 split) cue but starting to wonder if the extra inch is causing more deflection then a 29" shaft.

And while on the subject, has anyone every dared put a 29" shaft on a 30" butt. And if so how much would this change my balance?

I'm not exactly well-educated on this issue, but I would think the actual balance of the cue would deal more w/ the weight of your shaft as opposed to the length.

The extra length does add some weight, but by removing 1" off the length the weight reduced would be made up with an extra half a mm or so on the diameter (as the extra diameter is covered across the whole outside of the cue, as opposed to the 1").

I'm not telling you what I am saying is exactly correct or even an option, but strictly math'matically speaking, it's possible.

Anyone that actually knows what the hell they are talking about want to chime in? :)
