2nd set if 100 shaft woods arrived!!!

I too have purchased some shaft wood and was happy with what I paid for. I have informed Bryan that I'll be buying some more in the future.

And to Martin, I have purchased some wood from him and they are as described. I keep a watch on his post and will buy some if I like it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone.

Thanx,

if buying random $6 shafts, you get what you get, COMMON SENSE SHOULD PREVAIL ON THAT ONE. It's no ones buisness who buy's shafts from me, Kenny was very happy with his 200, did he get all "premium" shafts, NO, did he expect all premium? NO, I gave NIPPER the chance to have his choice on me picking them out, and instead of spending $2 more each, he just went with random, He's admitted to paying alot more to others, why wouldn't you spend the extra $2 and have piece of mind that you aren't taking chances on what you are getting?

first let me say at no time did you offer to pick the better dowels for me for an extra $2, as i paid you an extra $6 to taper these dowels i would have paid $2 more for what i wanted, the only reason i bought from you was you advertised A GRADE dowels but that is not what i got , if you got burned by your supplier when he sold this fire wood to you then thats your problem and you should not pass it on to others, if you do then you have no morals.

Sir, That is not true, I did give you the option of having me pick you certain shafts, and you turned me down. Like my post says many are very good grade, I can't guarantee all of $6 shafts to be $20 quality as I guess you were expecting.

Yes you did pay me to taper the shafts for you, that doesn't mean I'm going to hand pick them, Grab and go is the expression.

Be honest you set your hopes to get shafts that should/would cost $15+ dollars from other guys with out a taper, unfortunately and RANDOMLY you didn't get this grade so now your mad, and expect a refund. once again NO. So If I would have sent you all 20+ gpi shafts that would have cost $20-30 dollars from other suppliers should I get more money than the $6 price for the shafts? No, so why when you choose to get random shafts and you don't get $20 shafts, do I have to give you a refund?

By the way, Show some pics. Show how bad these shafts are. Kenny showed how nice his are, go ahead and show how crappy yours are, oh you burnt them all right, or put them through the bandsaw. YEAH RIGHT.

Yep, I'm a crook, put me on the list with all these other horrible suppliers that rip people off, I mean selling rounded shaft dowels for $6 what a rip off.

Yeah, you bought 16 shafts, and I got 2100 other pieces of firewood, yeah, that makes sense. Yeah bringing my moral code into question over 16 shafts, not everyone is going to be happy, you are one of 2 guys who say this.

Good Luck to you nipper, your going to need it.

What grade is "very good grade"? Better than "A", when the scale is, as you noted, A,B,C? I'm confused. What grade are you selling here again?

To me, "A" grade on that scale should be "A" grade and measured as "A" grade. Meaning no run-off. Who out there sells "A" grade shafts that allow for having run-off?

No matter if you spend $6 or $20, if it's advertised to be "A" grade, it should be "A" grade. Not something else or of an "A" grade as interpretted by some other industry standard not related to cues.

If there is a definition of "A" grade material that allows for run-off out there by any other cue builder or cue shaft supplier I'll recant my position.
Until then I'm content in saying that the material I received is of "B" grade, not "A".

I'm sorry to say that there is no standards as far as cue woods as there is in standard lumber. Some use grades 1 through 4 or 5, some use a through c or d and some use A through 4 or 5 A. Figured woods are even worse. The best grading system is holding in your hand before purchase. This is one of the main reasons for finding a distributor who's wood you like and staying with them.
