Is anyone aware of any cuemaker, either living or deceased, who has used this pin? I'm also looking for someone who can build me a new shaft for this type of pin. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks Mike! Does anyone know of any other custom cuemakers out there who have used this pin in the past?

I was looking at the titlist, are you sure it's a 14 thread and not a 12. You might want to call Tad. He uses a 3/8X12 but you never know what's in the past.

I only count 12 threads from the flat face of the joint to the last thread at the end of th pin... I think it might be a twelve thread.....:)

I think it's an 11 thread. If you count the number of FULL threads not just thread peaks, there are 11 in an inch.

I compared it to a 3/8 I have sitting around

That IS a 3/8-11 and a lot of cuemakers use it...

It's piloted joint??? I've not seen piloted 3/8 joint before. My 3/8x12 Tad does not have any inserts in the shaft.

Yup, I know it sounds weird, but it's true. There's no insert, brass or otherwise in the shaft. It's all wood with a 1/16" lip. If it's a TAD, it predates any technique that he's using today.
