3 Cues - Questions for {{YOU}}

All three cues had exactly what I'm looking for, hit soft and solid, and were well worth the $685 McDermott I was throwing back in.

I chose the Jerry Olivier because it came with a Tiger-X shaft and something about it just has my name on it. It just feels right - for me.

I didn't realize you had been playing so long. You already know this but I will remind you the tip makes a big difference. You could put a harder or softer tip on a cue and it would play differently.

For me the diameter of the butt, weight, taper of the shaft and balance point are big factors.

I'm not one of those people who pretends they know everything. I learn new things everyday.

I haven't had the opportunity to play with every cue on the market and, although I know what I want... it doesn't mean I know who (which cue-maker) has it. (Now I do).

After many years of playing, I know a lot of cue companies who DON'T have what I prefer.... but I got tired of the whole "hit or miss thing" and gambling on cues based on someone else's preferences.

The guy I traded is a cue collector, asked what I was looking for, I told him and he offered one of those three from about 400 different cues in his collection. From that point it DID come down to the issues that you mentioned (shaft-taper, balance point, grip, butt-diameter, weight, etc, etc).

Yes - I'm well aware about the difference the tip makes in the hit, but.... no matter which cue I bought - the tip would be replaced with a G-2, which is my preference.

What's the difference between using "you" and "{{YOU}}"?

I wanted to be clear that I was looking for your thoughts.... not the thoughts of someone who's being paid or sponsored to tell people what the cue-company wants them to say.

Kind of like the news - there's thousands of writers who can fill your head with all sorts of crap but I'm not interested in some writer's thoughts - I'm interested in {{{YOUR}}} thoughts.
