3-foul & sportsmanship?

If you have a really good run out capability you would try to run out 95 % of the time. But if you had a great safety game....is it safe to say you would try to 3 foul an opponent at least 50-60 % of the time? Playing that good of a safe and leaving the ball you played safe on in a spot to where you can play another safe is incredibly difficult to do three game sin a row. I've only done it to a begginer player 2 games in a row. If V shoots better than D than he has a mental handicap. Playing a weaker player makes you more vulnerable to losing sometimes. You lay back and assume that you are giong to win every game. So in turn you lose by dogging a 7,8, or 9 ball because you aren't completetly focused. the 3 foul rule is a great rule to knockout the weaker players in the tourny IMO. BUt opinions are like ***holes. everyone's got one.

i think people forget about a couple things, i realize the initial post was just about some small tournament, but when you're playing a bad player and giving a ton of weight, AND you're playing for a ton of money... pockets get very small. 3 fouls becomes a very viable option for better players in these cases as a way to cinch games.

the best players are the ones who win easy victories. when you attack, you are exposing yourself, you are vulnerable. if you never have to attack (never vulnerable), but you are winning games, this is truly the ultimate form of victory. criticism should never be cast on a player who wins by exploiting the subtleties of the game, it should actually be commended. these are basic principles of sun-tzu's, and as a funny sidenote, our president seems to do the exact opposite of what this very wise military general would consider prudent (truly the exact opposite in every single way).

now, against a better player, you must attack, that is the easiest way to victory, through precise cb movement.

also, i would not be at all surprised to see efren (who is the king of winning easy victories) to play 3 fouls on a player who kicks bad if they were playing for a ton and efren was giving up a huge spot. not saying he would do it every time, but depending on the pockets and the particular layouts, i think he would constatly have it in the back of his mind.
