TNT Breakers

Anyone out there try these out yet....They look cool and with purpleheart should be very strong....Never tried one yet so unsure.....Thanks

Think you are on to something here, these look great plus the stiff purpleheart hit can't be beat. GL with sale!

great looking cues.....

I stopped out to the Treasure Island tourny this last weekend and saw some of these cues you guys are making. I have to say TNT is making some great looking cues. I was tempted to buy, lol maybe next time. Had a nice talk with the older guy at the booth, seemed to be a great guy as well, very knowledgable. I will definantly keep TNT in mind when it comes time to purchase again. Is there a website showing these cues or are they shown mostly on AZB?

Thanks guys....these are exactly what you would expect from solid purpleheart and a great, all leather tip.

I used one in an all weekend tournament last weekend. I have to say my breaks were mostly kick ass. 8-ball, nice spread, dropping a ball or two 80% of the time and I am by no means a great breaker either. I am very happy with the TNT B/J cue I bought!

I would love to try one of these out soon....

Deffinately no worries with t n t cues, I have one of their sneaky petes that I picked up just for bar room 8 ball, and I grab it over several other cues from a bevy of well respected cue makers on a regular basis, it has such a good feel....

Bump em up.....too nice to pass by and compared to the cost of the big name breakers at twice the price.

I love these cues. But the logo kills em... I mean I REALLY like them. But the logo! I had a TNT JB that was very cool to have with that purpleheart break shaft. I'll be buying another one soon! Hopefully the logo changes by then :)

Thanks for the ringing endoresment ;)
Actually this logo was designed to add additional rack destruction capabilities to the cues.
Troy, working with the absolute ELITE of the elitest of NASA and MIT research engineers (smart, nerdy types with thick rimmed glasses, white overcoats and pocket protectors) devised the logo. The shape, font, ink and a couple of top secret (and possibly radio-active) chemical compounds were all melded together to make the logo to which you refer. Not just a logo but an active futuristic albeit slightly radio-active part of the most complex of break cues the pool world has EVER seen.
You can choose to choose one of these cues with this "performance enhancing" logo and reap the benefits of all of the billions of dollars worth of research will give while running an slightly above average risk of mild contamination.
Or....you can choose to order one with out the logo and still get a pretty kick ass breaker at a heck of a price.....:grin-square:

I feel the same way Joe! Every product Troy has made that I have had the privilege to use has FAR exceeded my expectations, but the first time I saw one, I had to go home and research the company... The logo has a certain feel to it that IMO, looked like something from a smaller production shop that I had never heard of, and I assumed to be an import product.

Logos have never really been a deal breaker for me, but something like a nice cursive rendition of T N T would seem more fitting of the custom quality of their products to me. I really like the cues still though...

Wouldn't the black finish on the shaft come off with light sanding, as with normal shaft maintenance? If so, how do you advise maintaining the shaft?

If you have to sand the shaft I would think it would be a very light sanding. Even if you have some small spots that the stain is completely penetrated you still have a fairly dark wood in purpleheart underneath the stain, the blend with the black stain should be quite subtle. I would think that unless you have a large area that is completely void of the black stain you would have to look pretty hard to see the purpleheart.
Unless the shaft has dents and nicks why sand it?
The breaker with the leather wrap is now available for sale.
