schragers

AWESOME

I had Bert build me a cue 5 years ago...I LOVE IT

mine has a snakewood forearm and buttsleeve and hits as well if not better than any cue I own.

If you are interested in selling any of those - PM me

Ryan

Are these new to you, or just made? I was under the impression that Bert quit making cues. Very nice. I would also like a nice Schrager player if you have interest in selling after Birk gets a shot. Thanks.

the cues look nice. the only thing i would like changed is the style of the rubber bumper. to me the ones on these cues are too big and i don't like the shape of it as well. it may seem nit picky to some but it's amazing what a small change like a different bumper can do to the look of a cue.

Thanks for the replies......these are new cues from Bert. They were started about 6 or so years ago for Lucky. Bert had health issues and sold his shop and never finished the cues. He was able to finish them for me last week and I picked them up yesterday.

These very well may be the last Schrager's built, except for 2-3 others that he has built for friends and family.

One or two of these may be for sale. I am keeping the middle cue.

I still need to get specs on these cues (lengths, weights, etc).

PM me if you are interested and I will keep a list. I will let you know if/when they will be available.

Also, I have signed / dated letters from Bert on all the cues.

Thanks again,

Russ.....

I re-read my post and just wanted to clarify one thing. I purchased the middle cue from Bert & Pat. I was allowed to take the other two and decide what I wanted to do with them. Sell them off, keep them or return them to Bert & Pat. I have not decided what I am giong to do with them as of yet.

Bert & Pat are trusting people to let me take two cues home with me that are not paid for!!

skins - I noticed the same thing about the bumpers. TOO BIG!!!!!!

Russ......

yess too big. but consider what brown bushka bumpers go for now. hard to find. you are a lucky man. i say keep them and keep them the way they are. get bert to write you a letter saying they were among his last and stash them suckers :D :D :D

ps think of all the stories you hear about ppl selling there classics and regretting it. 10 yrs from now do you wana be that guy???

I agree with you on this and I think the rubber bumpers detract from the appearance of these nice cues. I'd be looking at a different style bumper ASAP if these cues belonged to me!

I will more than likely change out the bumpers and definately keep the orignals safe and sound. They would really look much better with a lower profile bumper!

dave - I have signed letters on Bert's letter head for all the Schrager cues I have and pictures of Bert holding them.

I will post up here if I decide to sell and the ones who PM'd me will get first shot.

Thanks,

Russ.......

Nice cues, the bumpers are a bit extreme, but can easily be changed.

PM sent
