3 Seconds cue case

Anyone using these? They are handcrafted in Japan and we know how good their products are.

Empty case comes in at 3lbs.

The compartments use velcro. You can use it as an exterior style case and after you’re done the compartments go back inside.

It looks to be the best all around case but pricey.

It reminds me of the cuetec case that everyone has. Very functional.

I have one. They are well built but there are things I don’t like about it too.

There isn’t much padding so the cues move around and knock about a bit inside. It’s not terrible and I have no doubt it’s safe enough, but when you’re used to JB interiors were nothings moves it just feels inferior.

The straps are thin and the buckle has a tendency to slip a little at times when picking the case up by the straps, so I’d find one strap would end up being a little longer.

Finally the pocket layout is okay but really close together so it’s a little tricky to unzip around the top of the lower pocket and I missed a separate jump butt zipper, not for a jump butt but for an extension.

I went back to using a JB Ultimate Rugged or my King. 3 Seconds cases look really good, much more modern and cool looking, but actually playing out of one I didn’t love.

Anybody wants to try a 3x5 black/grey one hit me up and I’ll make you a deal on a barely used one.

I’ll add that there are a couple guys in my league who use them and they really like them too. Also the top closure system and the magnetic clasp they use is really cool! I love the way the top opens and folds closed.

If I could combine some features from 3 Seconds and some from a JB I would.

There was a time that JB sold a kit to put his interior into a 3 seconds case. Made it 3*6 too. I was on his site last week and couldn't find it anymore.

I have a 3 seconds case and think it provides plenty of protection. It stores what I need and is light.

I’m going to pass on JB’s interior. I have a jb case and using it as a competition case with all my needs. It’s a very good case too.

I’m still not use to sliding my cues in and out of the case. I’m keeping an eye out to see if it rubs off the mezz logo. The linen wraps have been rubbing and you can noticeably see it when pulling them out. The linen is rubbed. Kind of like when you rub suede it would go one way.

I won’t be sliding a 5k cue in and out of it for sure.

If he makes them a tad bigger where it rattles inside the padding then that would be the perfect interior. I mean it’s surrounded by pillows almost and moving inside won’t harm the cues. He. Can even put padding inSid the lid if people are afraid of their case flipped upside down.

I like the concept but the materials look pretty cheap for that price. I’d give one a try but I still love my jb mason case for now.

I have a very similar case (J&J) that I have used for 10+ years without complaint.

The only real difference is the my case has a zipper that opens up the insides horizontally.

Just seen one today. It’s real nice. Still heavy when loaded. Otherwise it’s nice. Owner was willing to show it off to me since I recognized it.

You certainly fell for that marketing

I wouldn't worry about the JB interior doing anything to your cue. Especially if you only take it out to play and then put it away to go home. It is way better than these thin-walled slots that let the cues bump into each other.

Here is a link comparing my cue which has been in and out of my case many hundred times to a new one.

I still have to think about what I’m pulling out first. Joint side up is my set up. My interior layout must be old. It’s 3 buts in the middle and all shafts outside. I pull the shafts out first then the butt. When putting them away butt first and shaft second.

I think a better configuration for 3x6 interior is:

Butt-2 shafts-butt- 2 - butt- 2.

It alleviates the pressure. I’m all for a loose fitting JB interior. It’s also easier to clean it debris somehow gets in it.

I agree that the 3x6 isn't my favorite layout. I usually stick with the 2x5/3x4 ones as I like having the two large butts (player and breaker) on the outsides as I do think they get a little more room. Then the middle slot actually works great for an AirRush butt since those are much thinner. Works out perfect for a player w/2 shafts, break and jump setup.

I use a 3 Seconds 3/5 that I picked up in Tokyo. I made a change to this case because of weight. Fully loaded, the 3 Seconds case is lighter than both my Urbain and JB. When travelling, I pack my case in a rolling duffel so weight for me is a concern. I like the fold over top and magnetic clasp that is used. When closing the case you can just snap the magnet on, but to take it off, it must be slid to the side in order to open. I'd prefer a slightly roomier accessories pocket, but that's just because the Urbain is pack rat's dream.

Let's watch a 20,000 dollar black boar hit the floor.
