Bob's stabilized wood

I recently got a piece of stabilized purpleheart from Bob to use as the joint and butt cap on a cue as per my customer's request.
It worked out just fine.
The wood is not so heavily impregnated that it weighs a ton...it's just right. You could make a whole cue out of it. It is still wood-like, not plastic-like and has a tap tone rather like very dense wood, not like plastic.
None of this mattered for my particular application but it's good tough stuff and machines nicely, rather less splitty than non-treated PH.
Another plus is that Bob ships super fast...good thing on this one, I'm running late.
Plus, he's a nice guy.
I give this stuff my official seal of approval.

Perfect!

I brought a good bit of wood from Bob at Denali Cues. All I can say is AWESOME!!
He was great to talk to and was spot on about the quality of the wood.

Thanks, Bob. I will send pictures when the cues are done. It will only take me about a year.

Sincerely,

Skip
