30K Tour Finals, who's in?

quite the drop from 1st to second payouts. i always beleive in sharing the wealth among more players than really rewarding one player..

But Congrats to Jason Klatt, he is one heck of a player.

What i couldnt figure out about the pay scale, and the same for when i played in the 20k Finals. The payouts are set prior to registrations.. how can you determine how much is coming in from penalties and Entry fees...where does that money go???
once again, likly me doing things differently when i do tournaments

I'm guessing the final works like this.

The added money comes from money for the final is taken out of each event (the players money). Probably around 400/event goes to the final which means smaller payouts/event but a bigger final.

$400 x 40 events= $16,000

Let's say the average entry without penalty is $75 x 64 players = $4,800

So there it is, $20,000 +

By the way these numbers are not necesarily correct but my estimates of how the $20,000 prize fund would be made. If the money taken from each of the regular events is less the the penalty money would surely make up for it.

What I would like to know is how much the players paid INTO the payouts. I would be willing to bet my entry fee ($45!) that its over 85%........ so the $20,000 added was really....... $3000 added?
