314-2 vs Fat shaft

Does anyone have any feedback on the standard 314-2 compared to the fat shaft

I've been playing with 314 and 314-2 shafts for quite a while and I was interested in the predator fat shaft also. I went to the TAP National tournament and the predator rep. let me hit some balls with a demo cue that had a predator fat shaft on it. I liked it a lot and I was going to buy one, but they don't come in standard joint sizes like regular 314 and 314-2 shafts do. I needed a 5/16x14 threaded shaft and all they had were uni-lock shafts or blanks. Since I owned a few predator shafts already I didn't want to spend the time and money to get a fat shaft matched to my cue when I already had predator shafts for my cue.

The bottom line is I liked the Fat shaft a lot and if they made one that would fit my cue i'd own one. The deflection was very close to my predator shafts and I liked the slightly larger diameter of the fat shaft.

James,
Just an FYI. I would build a FAT for you in the configuration you require at the same price (or less) than the Uni-Loc model.
My only restriction is that I can't compete with Seybert's on shafts that they carry. Since this would be a custom, I can accommodate you.
This is not something you have to move on right away. We've done business in the past and I'll take care of you on this whenever you're ready.
Have a Great Holiday Sir.

I purchased my Fat from Seyberts almost a year ago, maybe march or so? Anyhow I'm a fan, the deflection is a tad more then the 314-2 but I find it to more of a stiff and solid hit. The taper is still that of the 314 pro but the extra diameter does make for the stiffer feel.
