314 Shaft Question

What is the difference between a 5/16 x 14 Piloted Face 314, and a 5/16 x 14 Flat Face 314?

Some sites lists these differences, others just list different thread types for the joint. I believe mine is the piloted (appears non flat), and want to make sure before ordering a replacement.

Thanks.

The piloted joint is where the threaded part of the shaft actually sticks out of the shaft, and fits into a groove that surrounds the joint pin. This joint is found on Shon, Joss, Nova, and other cues.
The flat faced joint is flat where the shaft connects to the butt.
Hope this helps.

Given your lil saying on your signature, it's a female that sticks out a little instead of being tucked in .... lol
