Bump for Charley.

Anyone within driving distance should definitely not miss this tournament.

I'll be there

I will definitely be there. Can't miss all the action. Plus since I plan on snapping off the tournament and taking you out in the first round Ktown. See you next month.

Hey Daniel,

I'll see you there. I agree that anyone who can make the trip should definitely consider it. There is always alot of action, and about anyone that goes can get played some kind of way.

$3500 Guaranteed?

Hi!
I have heard that your tourney coming up is based on 128 players and the $3500 is not guaranteed. Is that true? Just wondering-----

Hey Loopie,

I'm not sure, but the way that Charlie's usually does it is by pro-rating the added money by the number of entries.

In other words, if he says "guarenteed $3500 based on 128 players, he adds $27.34 per player that shows up. If he has 64 players instead of 128, he will add $1750. If he has 100 players, he will add $2735, etc.

Again, I'm not sure of this, but this is the method that Charlie's usually uses. I will see if I can find out for sure what is going on.

I spoke to Charley a few days ago and I believe you are correct Mike. He says w/ the new rails and simonis the tables are playing great.

It would not surprise me to see a few sets run out at this tournament. Valley tables w/ fast cloth and new rails - I just hope I am one of the people who does it.

I have spoken to quite a few people who are planning on attending. I expect this to be a great tournament with a very good turnout.
There are also some heavy hitters from the area that usually play in the Open that are not making the trip to Va. this year.

I expect there will be some serious action as always.

This sounds like it will be a fun event. Can you bump this thread later with the results? Action reports are always welcome too :D

Hey Daniel,

Who is Robert Green? I don't think I have seen him around before.

He lives just south of Knoxville. I have known him for years. He probably played a little over his head.
