I'm not a mechanic, but I'm trying to think of a way to keep adhesive off of the slate surface and still get a good stretch. Has anyone tried using 3M10 on slate edges and Spray 77 on the cloth? If so, how were the results?

It that situation it is only as strong as the weakest glue. The Spray 77 would let go much quicker than the 3M10. I have used this combination to finish off pockets on GC tables in the past and it works ok.

Why not just use 3M10 on the cloth as well?

I kinda figured that. What I may do is construct a template to guide 3M10 on the cloth according to the first table then use it on the other 11. Unless someone already has dimensions for applying 3M10 on Championship Tour Edition for a 7-foot Valley

Cloth

You will find that 30/30 is not consistent on how each cut stretches..you will have to stretch index each piece.
It don't matter the cloth brand at hand.. It's a good idea to check.
I know the method i use when working with neoprene-10 contact adhesive may be different than others.
I have not yet to find a inconsistent index for simonis, index has been spot on with simonis every time and I believe it's to do with the high quality of the wool/yarn and the weaving process used.. But I always check.
Again' 30/30 stretches way more than simonis so keeping the grain straight is a different can of soup.
-best of luck and inspect every inch top and bottom before installation.
