Just wondering about this case

I have made several attempts to contact the seller but have not received a response, so I figured I'd ask here.

I know you get what you pay for, but can anyone provide any feedback on this case? Is it constructed fairly decent? Enough to use for storage or for everyday use? How much does it weigh, etc. You know the standard questions.

Anyone have one and willing to share their thoughts? Good or bad. I'm looking to pick something up fairly inexpensive while I decide on a custom.

Thank you,
Craig

Not sure if the links are working but here's the entire URL string:

I see they've added a picture of the inside of the case, had I known that I wouldn't have commented on the felt dividers. I almost purchased that case until I figured that out some months back.

That particular case is fine as long as you don't mind your cues banging around inside of it...lol It is a felt divided case, ie. no tubes of any kind, just the outer shell. Carlscues makes a better case for around the same price.

Interesting. I'm just a newbee, but I would have thought that the felt dividers would make the case lighter, while still protecting the butts and shafts from one another.

I know in the soft cases, there is usually just a thin clothe sleeve to separate the shaft from the butt, and these seem to work fine to protect their contents .... as long as you understand/realize that it is a soft case and should NOT be thrown across the pool room !

Thoughts ??? Comments ???

Then I saw this Jack Justis case for sale. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=142819

Note the soft (clothe) dividers. I thought Jack was a VERY well respected case maker.

One of my first cases was from Aska, a 3x5 spring loaded hard tube and I still use it to store cues in. It is a great case for the money and I wouldn't mind having one of the high end cases, but I could add another cue with some of those crazy prices.

Thank you for the comments.

tbone: I am not sure which case you are referring to from carls (link not working for me) but if its the 4x6 I believe it is the same case except in a different color. I've had excellent transactions with carls in the past, just not crazy about that particular color.

The other poster is correct, there are well respected case makers that use soft lined separators.

What I use now is fine, so I am not to sure I'll get one of these. I'm thinking I'll just put that money towards my custom.

Thanks again for the thoughts guys.
