40 000 $ match in UK

At Midland Snooker Club in England they arranged a 42 000 $ Challenge match, winner takes all. (Both players put up 10 000 British pounds each)

Darren Appleton against Richard Jones, playing 10-ball race to 21, winner breaks.

The match has been well promoted on the UK based website pro9.co.uk, and I think they will make a DVD of the match too.

I had never heard of Richard Jones so I thought this should be a massacre.

Right now Richard Jones is leading 20 - 16, and is on the hill!

Darren has been leading almost all match, several times 3 games up, latest at 14 - 11, but Richard turned the match around at 15 - 15.

(While writing I got the final score. Richard Jones won 21 - 16!!) WOW, I am surprised. Never heard of the guy and he beats Darren Appleton with 5 racks in 10-ball...

Man, there's so many Challenge-matches my mind is getting all mixed up... sorry for the confuse... :D

Anyway, good shooting of Richard Jones. He must be a hell of a player, beating Darren with 5 racks!

Guess Darren will bring it home the 13th, after all he is a superb player and I guess he will practise real hard for the next match! GO DYNAMITE!!!
