John was looking smooth he beat Bergman 9-6 and moves into the final 16 on the winners side.

Justin is needing a good finish here to earn enough Team USA Mosconi Cup points to move into the top ten,he will have to do it from the scenic route on the B side of the bracket now.

Congrats to Vivian Villarreal The Texas Tornado she won the Ladies division at 44th Texas Open again.

I think that is her 5th time winning it

Open Division is Down to final three players John Morra vs James Davis Sr playing in the semi final now.

Winner of that will face the young gun Devin Poteet in the finals :)

I think this is a good example of how powerful taking a hiatus from pool can be. Not that John Morra was a slouch before but I speak from experience saying every time I'm in a slump the best medicine is a break from the game and every time I seem to come back and jump speeds and feel that focus and drive all over again

The guy on the left is a Canadian 9-ball Champion from the 90s, Jeff White.
the kid on the right ended up winning a few himself.....
.....and now Texas Champion back to back....:bow-down:

But I doubt anyone will ever surpass the man on the right in this pic....
Bob Vanover, nine times Champion.

The guy on the left Bob is laughing with? AZ's own, Jack Potter....
...who was usually too busy bailing out his buddy Dean to snap this one off...:)
