That's Awesome!

Wow, my brother lives close by to this casino, and it's awfully tempting for me and mine to make the trek. I haven't been to California since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, and my counterpart is raring to return to the State where he grew up and pay a visit.

I checked out the casino's website, and it is quite unique and nice: http://www.goldcountrycasino.com

I have marked the dates on my calendar for future reference.

BTW, is this the casino that "Rolling Thunder" the pool player hails from?

P.S. Eydie, call me when you get a chance. I have misplaced your phone number.

Nah.. Richard works at Win River Casino in Redding. But on monday nights in Oroville, his significant other can be found spending his money there... lol. Come on over Jam, I know Keith would like to have a reunion down south afterwards too. I know they are going to be pretty strict on who's on the teams, so no one gets under the radar.

I really liked that Richard Burton fellow. His enthusiasm for the game and life in general was heart-warming. Very pleasant and a whole lot of fun. I wish I had snapped his picture at the Open, but I didn't have my camera on me at the time.

I talked to my brother last night, and he said he's definitely passed this casino in his travels. He's a little over an hour north of Oroville. He said Oroville is a very small town which pretty much is the Gold Country Casino. One thing he did mention was the snow up in that region of the country. Last year, they received over 20 feet in February.

Depending on logistics at the homefront, I'm hoping we can make the trek to Oroville. I see good times up ahead if we do. California or bust -- well, maybe not bust! :p
