I’m not sure if this is the most difficult drill in pool, but one thing is certain: this one pushed me to the absolute edge. 49 Balls, no rail contact, and not a single bump into another ball. Just me, the table, and hours of relentless focus. Spending over 12 hours on this, I was battling through moments where I thought, “Why am I even putting myself through this?” Imagine putting in hours of effort only to mess up on the 40th ball or having to start over because of one slight bump, or even misplacement of the cue ball. That’s where I was - again and again.

But here’s the thing. Sometimes it’s not just about the drill itself; it’s about what it brings out in you. The persistence. The quiet moments when you take a breath and tell yourself to go again, no matter how tired or frustrated you are. It’s about pushing through until you’re no longer just playing pool, you’re testing your limits. I won’t yet reveal whether I managed to run all 49 balls. But trust me, it’s a journey filled with every emotion you can imagine. The video shows everything: the struggle, the close calls, and the moments when I got so close that nerves really started to kick in.

Cheers,
Shari

Btw. What's the most difficult drill in your opinion? Would love to give a couple of them a shot!

That is sick. I might try setting up and attempting a more realistic version of this, maybe 30 balls - 5 rows of 6 balls each row.

Gorst has 3 drills on his YouTube that are ridiculously hard.

After setting up the balls, I would become hungry, eat, nap, and forget about the shot.
Then I would play three cushion with three balls hitting all the rails, sometimes six rails.
Forty six less balls less, forty five if I play four ball with the Korean Killers.
Not the drill for beginners or intermediate players to learn bunting and short ball.

I’m cool with doing drills but I keep them simple And I don’t want them to be so hard I’m to frustrated to learn anything. lol let the pro‘s who don’t have jobs do that shit. I can’t lol
