5/16-14 Shaft inserts?

Is there anyone out there who would know where to locate the "best" quality 5/16-14 shaft inserts? Does anyone out there make them from anything other than brass? If so, where might one find them, and how much $ would it take to have a couple? Any advice/info, is truly appreciated. Thanks in advance......

They also sell "blanks" if the threads aren't to your liking. You could machine them yourself.

I prefer my inserts to have no i.d. hole at all so I can do it the right way and drill, bore, and tap after it's in the shaft. Atlas blanks are not blanks at all, they have a .265 hole in them, (USELESS) Ct. Cue parts on the other hand sells blank inserts 7/16X14 o.d. thread.

You can buy 1/2" black canvas phenolic from atlas. And make your own. Tiger uses a phenolic insert instead of brass. I don't know if they make or buy them
