have you gone crazy?
you're giving those things away at that price!

How exactly is that? It's a BID price, not a Buy it now price.

When I start an auction at 99 cents, I don't consider I am giving away the item at 99 cents ;)

Hal, can you tell about the SharpShooter shafts. Who makes them?

Are they laminated radially or are they flat laminates. You can send me an email to ceebee@sbcglobal.net
Here is one review, with links to a dozen or so others at the bottom. Overall, response is very positive to the shafts. I'm sure there's quite a bit of magicwandism in those reviews, but isn't there always?

The company page seems to be down, but it's American Cowboy Billiards
(here's the Google cached version of the page)

I wish these were listed individually, as I'd love to pick one up and try it out.

CeeBee, they're Flat laminated. You have to look a while on the website to find that info. So, they're similar to a Black Dot. I'm sure many makers would argue about how thin the layers, how many per inch, what type of wood is best, how are the glued, pressed, etc....

I've shot with a flat laminate for about 10 years, made by local cuemaker Dale Chilton. I've recently shot with the black dot (liked it) and 314 (liked it somewhat, definitely would take some getting used to).

I like the flat laminate, altho the type of tip you use has a big impact, as I imagine ferrule too. Well worth the experiment, IMO.

I don't know which 5/16-14 they are. I have a Schon LTD 235 and they fit it. Length is 29 inches, weight is 4.2 ounces.

Sorry, I was gone to Wal-Mart. I don't have any calipers to measure the joint. It mathces up almost perfectly to my Schon. Just slightly bigger. I'd say .005 bigger. Just enough to feel a "step"
