Aside from SouthWest and a couple select others....just about EVERY custom cuemaker can use this pin style.

Same goes for productions...with the exception of McDermott and a couple that use Unilocs.

A word of caution on your Schon shaft, though.......the pilot diameter on the shaft has been known to be larger than the pilot hole on the joint for quite a few cues (Joss, for example).

Given the right specs from your two shafts, you should have NO problem finding a cue to fit 'em up to.

I can back up that atleast some Schon pilots are bigger then Joss. We had a brand joss with a shaft that just played horrible, unusual for them, and the first time I ever hit with a joss I did'nt like, but I could'nt find anything overly wrong with the shaft, other then a low grain count & It had alot of deflection, so much that It was hard to shoot with. We had a customer order a new Schon & case from us after smashing his old Schon in a rant one night. He had an older extra shaft with the cue, that We even did a partial trade on, or My Dad bought It from him (It's been a while). Anyway, He wanted me to match that shaft to the Joss handle to see if there was any difference. I did have to turn the pilot down a hair to fit, so It was larger. I was able to get a nice snug fit though thanks to that & It did play much better with that shaft.

Most anyone should be able to do a 5/16-14, and there are lots out there that are available, as It's a pretty standard pin these days. The last cue I did had a 5/16-14 flat face joint, and I liked the way It felt. I'm doing one with the same pin now for someone else. If I can do them, then should have no problem finding someone to do that pin in a cue.
