I can dig it. Thanks for posting, Marek.
I think the “progressive” comes in the distance from cueball to object ball changing as you go down the rail. I set it up and ran it and you end up with a boot a half table of travel for the cue ball and object ball.
What’s more of a challenge, stop with more distance from cue ball to object ball or object ball to pocket? I have a harder time when the distance from the cue ball to the object ball is increased. Have to adjust tip position or speed. For that reason I like the Billiards University drill that I’m sure all of us have done until we’ve worn track marks in the cloth. However, the object ball is always a half diamond away from the pocket regardless of cueball to object ball distance. I like that this drill has a shot where the split is 50/50.
I do see where you’re coming from BBB. The cueball object ball gap did not seem to “progress” evenly from shot to shot. I also set up the drill with object balls evenly spaced from second diamond to second diamond and third to third. With a half ball gap between the cue ball and rail. Eventually though you round the corner and the “progressive” distance gets smaller, although object ball travel “progresses”.
Heck, it’s fun to set things up and provide yourself with a structured set that you can track measurable “progress” in. Hats off to Marek; good job outta you.
