They were both looking for their second PremierBilliards.com’s Q City 9-Ball Tour title. Both had won their first tour title (ever) earlier in the year. Heeter went undefeated to claim his first tour title, defeating Larry Hughes in the finals of an April stop in Winston-Salem, NC, while Justin Knuckles chalked up his first at an event in Cary, NC just over two weeks ago (July 29-30), when he came from the loss side and downed Christy Norris twice in a double-elimination final. The two met three times this past weekend (Aug. 12-13), in the hot seat and twice in the finals. Knuckles took the first, but Heeter took both sets of the true double-elimination final to snare that oft-elusive second title. The $250-added event drew 30 entrants to Mickey Milligan’s in New Bern, NC.
