Memorials and benefit tournaments are common in the pool community at large. They show up virtually every weekend, in one place or another, to benefit or memorialize a member of a local pool community. It’s a consistent ‘positive’ in a sport that can often get caught up in different kinds of issues that lend themselves to ‘negative’ impressions of the sport’s promoters and competitors.
