How does the playability of a cue change when the cue and shaft are longer then a standard. I am a tall lanky person and want a cue that is wrapless and has an equal length between butt and shaft. I do not want a sneaky Pete and but I also don't want to spend 5k on a cue. Please let me know what you all think

Why a pm? I know I'd be interested in the answer to this question.

The answer depends on construction, wood types and balance preference. Adding a 31" shaft to a 29" butt will not change things much as the added length is at the tip end of the shaft with the smallest mass. What it will do is allow a person with longer arms to address the cueball better. Made a 63" cue for a customer and personally loved it as I am 6'6" with long arms.
