i shoot pool league 3 nights a week.8 ball.

when i practice i go to our local pool hall or my friends house,he has a olehausen 9'.

i usually do drills or play my friend.

sometimes i can't make it to those places so i'll stop at the bar i shoot for and practice.

i find playing on the bar tables by myself a lil boring, especially 8 ball.so i decided to play some kind of rotation game.9 and 10 ball were ok but i'm still fairly new so i don't run out often in these games but for some reason 7 ball is a different story.

i can get 2 racks outta .50 and an extra ball to practice whatever i want or to respot if needed.and i run out alot more than i do with 9 or 10 ball.

ppl look at me funny when the see the rack but it seems to be helping.

bar tables are still 50 cents there?

Wow, bar tables are $1.00 around here (MA), and hardly
anyone ever uses them any more, as that's almost the price
of half a beer, and most people just seem to want to drink.

I remember the good old 25 cents per game days in bars!

I'll trade you the places around here that have $.50 tables for the places you have cheap beer! LOL :)

you probably don't want the place!

Well, I'm talking about a couple dives around here where
a 16oz (from keg) is $2.00 and no one cares about pool much.
In fact they move the bar table into the corner about once a
week, when there is live entertainment. And they put a few
pieces of plywood to cover the table, to top it off. I met someone
there one night for a game, and we spent about 20 minutes
trying to brush all the little slivers of wood off the table.
Since the real pool room in my town closed about 4 years ago
this is the types of tables still in town. Another place was
renovated in such a way that the walls are so close you can't
even shoot the cue ball of an end rail unless you jack up to
about 60 degrees. And they still want a buck! And a bottle
of bud in that place is $3.25 to boot. Arrgh!
