Are all of these one piece slates? I want to put one downstairs in the basement and there isn't enough room down the spiral staircase to move down a fully assembled table.

Nope, you can get 3-piece slate for 7 and 9 foot tables. You have no choice if you are not installing on the ground floor. I see no problem with that... yeah, one piece would be nicer, but we've been playing on 3 piece for centuries, and prolly won't know the diff anyways....

The 7' Pro-Ams that the tournaments use are all one piece slates. Don't know about whatever else Diamond makes in the 7' size.

With the right equipment you could turn one into a 3 piece... I wanna say Paul at Diamond was talking about having to cut one up to carry it somewhere they normally couldn't have installed it....

You can now order any table....that's ANY table from Diamond with a steel plate joined 3 piece slate and still have the leveling system built into the frame of the table. I designed a system of turing all of Diamond's 3 piece slates back into a free floating one piece slate when installed on the table....absolutely no different than actually having the one piece slate on the table. Call Aaron or Brian about it, tell them you're interested in the RKC steel plate joined 3 piece slate in the table...they'll know exactly what you're talking about.

Pretty cool. Great idea!

The older 7' Diamond Professional slate comes in two pieces...

Only a few and I've only seen one in the last 13 years, but yes a 2 piece slate has been used before. But the steel plate joining of the slate seems is here to stay, it's the future of putting the slates together.
