I have drawn up and are getting printed a plastic version of my cardboard dust collector. The new version is magnetic holding onto the 80mm diameter of the spindle bottom plate. The brush nozzle is magnetically connected to the main body and can have different brushes to suite the specific application.
Here is a pic of it getting printed and a cad image of what it is meant to look like.
If anyone else wants one, I can ask for the STL file and you can can get one printed. It uses Ø4mmX4mm long magnets. The vacuum hole is 37mm diameter less shrinkage of the plastic, it fits my shopvac hose.

The led's along the underside of the Y axis and on the back of the spindle holder make taking pics difficult, but is great lighting for setting up.
These pics are before the 4x4 magnets were fitted.
The video links is the 1st test with the dust collector and the last is a ping pong ball floating from the air being pushed out the nozzle from the spindle just running.

Neil,
Any chance you can make one for a Tekno 3140? Plenty of cuemakers here that have that spindle on their CNCs. Amazing job on that prototype.

Have you got any specs and dimensions that will be required to make it hold onto the spindle? What is the distance from the centre line of the spindle to the inside edge that the area that the vacuum tube comes out at. On mine, the centre line from the unit to the area of the bracket that needs to be cleared is 64mm, as the bracket is 120mm diameter or 60 mm radius. Neil

Nice job, Neil. Pretty cool to see the air flow generated just by the spindle!
I'd be interested in the file at some point.
