HEY every1

I've a room in my house it's 6*4 meter .
two months ago i've bought a 9-feet table :( . but i'm not comfortable with it the room is small especially the width i can't shot the ball well when the CB stuck in the cushion :(

anyway i wanna ask u if i buy a 8 feet table and practice pool on it WHEN i play on a 9 feet table for example in the tournaments , is there a different ? i mean i have to habit on 9 feet table ? or i can play perfect on 9 feet table even if i habit on 8 feet table ????????????

Unfortunately, I think you will still be a bit short on width to shoot certain shots comfortably using a regular cue stick if you change out to an 8' table. You only gain 6" by switching to an 8' table.

I'm right there with you and feel your pain. I had to go with a 7' bar box in my basement due to the width of the room. I used to use it more often but now that I mainly only play one pocket, I don't use it much anymore.

Unfortunately :frown:

i need just some inches of width to be suitable for 9 feet table
i think i'll break the wall and play comfortably

thanks for ur replay and i'm happy there's someone suffer like me

I play on an oversized 8' table (46"x92"). When I play at the poolhall on the 9' (50"x100"), it feels huge in comparison even though it is only 8" longer. But, it only takes a few games to adjust. I will be changing to a 9' soon.

^^^^^^^^^^
that's what i wanted to know .... i'll feel different when i play on 9 feet table cuz i habit on 8 feet table ?????

by the way how long the 9 feet table by meter ?
mine is ( 270*150 cm) ........

I dont care what anybody that play on a 8ft says, (cause alot of peeps really only have access to the smaller boxes)... there is a huge difference. Call it mental perception or whatever...

I have been playing exclusively on 9ft shimmed tables for 2-3 years and thought it much harder as I developed my stroke/game after playing for years on bar boxes... but gave the benefit of the doubt ("stroke is stroke, blah, blah")...

I went to a buddies house and played for a couple hours on a 8ft'er last week and it was rediculously different/easy comparitively. and I have been playing way past long enough to know when my stroke was just "on" and it had nothing to do with the way I happened to be playing that day... Granted everyone is different and there is a degree of "relative to the player" when changing gears to bigger or smaller tables... but I gotta say, (to a slightly above average/pretty solid player) the difference is HUGE. jmo.
