After the break, what to do?

Yuck.

Either try and hide, on an open table..... Or try the 4 up the rail.

Gonna be an interesting thread. Thanks for doing these.
 
I probably play safe by bumping the 7 onto the 11 locking them both up and try to position the cue ball on the rail where it started at. That way if he does make the 4 or I miss position at least I have created another problem for him.
 
Does the 12 ball pass the 6 to the rail side of the 8? If so, I'd go that way if not I'd probably play safe off of it & put the CB on either the 2 or the 13.

It does not go. My only hesitation on playing safe and locking on the 2 is you probably leave a dead bank on the 7. It might depend on who you are playing, but I'd make that bank. I can probably take the back-cut bank on the 7 to start as well, as an alternative to starting with the 4.

That is a nice strong safe. Don't go too long though, the 2, 1, 4 all have pockets. Leave 'em between the 1st and 2nd diamond froze on the rail.

Yeah, that was my 2nd. thought, but IF you mis it the CB is out up table.

If I played the safety, I think I'd try to freeze it on the 13 & hope to take the 7 & the 4 out.

By far the easiest safe is to play off the right side of 7, freeze on end rail between 1st and 2nd diamond. Otherwise shoot the 4 and don't miss. :grin:

That could work but if you roll too far you give the 4 & if you roll short you give the 1 in the side. Plus, what rules? If the table is still open the 10 in the side could be left. Alot of ifs for me.
 
You can't make the 12 in the corner off the 8 ball? It really seems like you can from the angles given. Once that's made the only problem ball is the 11, which can easily be opened up by shooting the 10 in the side with the right angle.

I'm trying to figure out the best format, and so far I just break balls and post them unedited. I'm not trying to create specific problems, at least not yet.

I'd try to carrom the 5 off the 10 into the side.

As long as the 2 passes into the corner. That's an out. It's not easy, but it can be done.

I think the 12/10 combo to the side is a easier shot because of the angle..thats just me.
