I was playing Pool Break Lite on my cell phone and something odd came up and I'm not sure if the game is just screwed up or if this is an actual rule I had no idea existed.
I was cutting the 8 into the side pocket and was going to put a little draw on the cue ball to avoid a scratch. I realized I didn't have to bother, because one of my opponents balls was directly in the cue ball path after the shot, basically acting as a blocker. I hit the shot, made the 8 cleanly, the cue ball rolled a couple feet towards the corner pocket, made contact with his "blocker" ball, and the blocker ball rolled a couple inches and fell into the pocket. Cue ball stayed on table, no scratch.
The game popped up a red message saying that I lost the game because the 8 ball was pocketed illegally. The 8 went in clean, the cue ball hit the 8 ball first, and the cue ball didn't scratch. Is having one of his balls drop in on my 8 ball shot against the rules? I have never heard of that.
