Ah no joke. only nearly a hour away from my Hometown!
We used to have a somewhat big money tournament every saturday nite ( 10 entry plus calcutta), used to get 20-32 players on average but then slowly the tourney died off...
There is a free entry 8 ball tourny on friday nights at the bar across the street and a free entry 9 ball on saturday......APA rules. 50 bucks normally pendin on how many players show up.

There is a great 8 ball tournament at winners choice casino just over the big bridge past lake charles. $10.00 entry fee caped at 65 people. Usually about thirty people in the mix. I have seen 1st place payouts of $700.00 or more.

O yea I heard of it many times. I also heard that a couple of months ago before Rita that they had a tourny with 5 grand promised. A friend of mine went to it but I unno how it turned out!
