In that case I guess I'd try to kick the 8 ball in the lower side.

Havent tried this, but it looks possible to block the side pocket if you can hit the 12 full..

It looks to me that this shot requires too much stroke if you plan on making the 13 as well. If the 8 does not hit the 12 square, the 9 is probably dead in the side or top corner pocket.

I would most likely try the kick shot, but I love the both videos and I plan on trying both shots. Nicely done.
