This is an 8 ebony pt. Jeff Olney Custom Cue with everything white on the cue being ivory including butt and joint. The rings are silver and ivory with a few mother of pearl in the but, the top is birdseye maple with ebony pts with an ivory inlay in each pt both at top and bottom. The cue came with 2 shafts with moori tips. A local collector from my area that has a collection of over 500,000$ told me this cue was worth in the area of $3,500.00 so i was very pumped about having had paid $2,000 for it. This cue really hits like a dream, its not 4 sale but he does have a site and i would enjoy the feedback on it. James

Agreed...

I fully agree with your assessment of Mr. Olney's work. Jeff is one of the most pleasant and unpretentious cuemakers around, and delivers superb flawless craftsmanship... not to mention a finish that is absolutely second to none.

His wood stock and shaft stock are also to be envied.... and he delivers on time as promised, at a reasonable price... a rare occurance based on my experiences.

The only aspect of the cues that took getting accustomed to, was the interference fit of the joint... those that own one know what I'm talking about...

Congrats on your high end Olney...

I'd say the cue is worth around 2K if that's what you paid for it. At least to you it is.

I have a cue from Mr Olney and the woods he has is beautiful.
His work is magnificient and his finish is glass-like. I like the hit of his cue quite a lot and actually intending to get another cue from him. :)

James,
I have seen your butt sleeve when it was in process.
It looks so beautiful and the inlays are nicely done. Great cue you have there. :)

"Olney custom Cue"

I'm no pro by a long shot, but I've been playing for many years. I've used the same cue for the last 20+ years and like it very much. While on the web one night , I ran across Jeff's web site and was shocked by all the information he gives everyone for FREE. I ordered a cue from Jeff and it is the BEST built and even better hitting cue I've ever owned. I have another on the way and can't wait until it gets here. Thanks Jeff for a superb cue. David B. Jeff is no longer taking orders on cues because he is so far behind,..... so if you want one of his cues you better buy one that someone puts on here 4 sale,.... who knows when he'll start taking personal orders again,.... if at all!!

I really like everything but the big goofy signature on the butt. Screams production cue to me. Design and execution look very nice.
