86 joss shaft

Hi guys. I received a cue today and believe the shaft to not be original due to it not having the year on it like the butt does. Does anyone have a pic of an authentic 86 Joss shaft? Thanks

Joss in white letters with half circles on each side. Won't have year on it. Only Joss. It should line up with the dash in between the year & Joss.

Thanks Tduncan. It must be original then. Nice darker wood, ivory ferrule...mmmm, I bet it hits great!!

the shaft that is on the cue is a new one.. but the one underneath is what the orginal looks like

My '85

These are pictures of my 1985 Joss. I am the original owner, so I know the cue's provenance. When screwed together, the lettering lines up nicely (not perfectly) between butt and shaft. If your lettering lines up, I would assume the shaft to be original to the cue. The ferrules for my '85 are ivory, but I am pretty sure you could get other ferrule materials in those days.
