Notice to 8Ball teams going to BCA Nationals this summer....
The BCA has changed the rule on roster limit.... At the start of the league year (following last years nationals) the roster limit was 10 players, they recently changed it to 8 players. There was no announcement of this by BCA, I found out by looking through the website and seeing only 8 roster spots for 8 ball teams. This won't affect most teams but it will affect some. My team consists of 9 players who all planned on making the trip this year, and now 1 is gonna have to skip out due to this new rule.
When I contacted BCA about this and asked why the rule was changed halfway through the year, I was told they apologize for the lateness but that the rule is set in stone now and that I should split my team into 3-3player 9ball teams instead, or pick up another player and make 2-8ball teams......
My team has no interest in splitting down so we are trying to work out who sits out.
