9-Ball Combo Match :]

Hey,

just wanted to share some shots I made on a match i had yesterday in a local tournament. The games was 9-ball, race to 4. The funny thing is that through all the set i did not make the 9 the usual way :p

1 rack:

I broke, nothing went in. My opponent ran 8 ball and missed on the last one. I ended up with cue ball on the spot and nine ball 2" from the rail. This is the shot i made to win the first game:

)END

2 rack:

I broke and made one ball. Since 3 ball was tied to 8 i decided to try on a table long combo i succeeded:

%Ub1P2%Vl8P7%_G6I8%`S5L9%a_6O8%bC6C9%cD8E8%dF1H3
)END

3 rack:

I broke and didn't make anything, my opponent missed 1 ball leaving a tough-cut combination. I made it, but scratched in the cornet pocket giving
my opponent ball in hand. He then ran out.

%dH0T9
)END

4 rack:

He broke and didn't make anything. I took a chance of a bank-combination trying to keep the cue ball and the object ball on separate rails in case i did not succeed. Luckily i made that shot :]

START(
%Ac9I0%BE5Q8%Ch7X0%Dr9N0%EN9Z3%Ff9O8%GQ6N4%HN7H4%IM0D0%PG8K7
%UN9D2%Vs3G7%WC7C8%XL2D0%eA8a0%_b5I4%`P2J9%aH2K7%br6G8%ci8H6
%dd5I0
)END

5 rack:

I finished the match with relatively easy combination after some missed shots from both sides:
START(
%AI0G5%Bb0V1%Cg9F2%DP5Z9%E`8J5%Ff9O8%GC7N1%HJ3C8%IJ1I4%PK3U3
%WC7C8%XH3F7%eB4a3%_J4K0%`J7O6%aK1T3%bI5H2%cI7H6%dJ2H8
)END

In later match i managed to make some tough (as for me) bankshot as well:

START(
%IC9O3%Pq8Z0%Wq4[0%XC2P0%eB4a3%_E4O9%`M5Q7%aq0Y9
)END

I know there was a lot of luck involved as well, but i felt really great about those shots. I am by no means a great player (i broke and ran 3 racks in 10 matches yesternight) so that was realllllly enjoyable :]

Bragger!!

Some Of Us Can't Get That Lucky. Nice Job Though. But That High Feeling You Experienced...it Can't Compete With That Low Feeling You Get When You Can't Do Anything Right. Savor The Flavor, My Friend!!

So how ...

Did you come out in the tournament? Did you place?
Are you a guy or gal? a guy, right?
Did you kick that first one because you couldn't reach for a bank shot?
It was definitely a nice day for you on the table. They don't come along
that often, so enjoy the memory ... lol
That last bank shot was a nice one, most people undercut the ball from
that angle.

It is the first time i managed to pull out so many tough shots in one match under pressury, but i also know that the luck factor has to do:]

Snapshot9: I am guy :) That night they were two actually tournaments - one was qualifiers and the next one was club league tournament. I won six matches in the qualifiers, but i was quite tired afterwards and won only two matches in the league tournament. I will definitely remeber the day:) I think i got into right state of mind - complete relief, no stress, letting the subconscious mind come into play.

I kicked at the first one, because i would to have play a bank shot using rake and i am bad it.

As far as the bankshot is concerned - i used some outside english to help the object ball - recently i found that these type of cut-bankshots can be relatively easy with english.

Just wondering on game 5 - wouldn't that be a foul on that combo? LOL. I know what you really meant and am surprised no one else picked up on it by now. Great job, congratulations!
