9-Ball: How often do you win via gash?

In the game of 9-Ball, how often would you estimate that you combo/carom/billiard the nine ball in rather than running all of the way out?

I would have to believe somewhere between 5-10%. My style of breaking along with the diligence my opponents usually exhibit while racking usually yields very little 9-ball movement and if it's not wired for a pocket, I'd rather not try.

I am all about the gash shot. The best ones are when they don't even see it comming. Carom scare'um.

Probably somewhere in the 10-15% range for me, and I think that's fairly high.

I've been capitalizing on my opponents mistakes with gashes a lot lately.

I'm a very aggressive safe player. I play safeties often and when I get ball-in-hand, I'm usually either gashing or playing another safety to setup a gash for next time.

When there is an object ball right next to the nine, many times I'll play the billiard. Perhaps there is no run or I think I can make it...

Sometimes I'm running out and have to play an 8-9. Other times I'll play a ball off of the nine and into a nearby pocket and get a lucky win there.
