Starting Sunday morning I'm going to break a 9 ball rack and diagram the layout for everyone to discuss. However I certainly don't want to take away from the diagrams that Cuetable is posting. His are awesome.

I love discussing layouts.

Cool! Those threads are fun. In case you didn't know about it, there is also a feature on the cuetable where you can click a button and get a random spread of 9-ball or 8-ball. The buttons look like a rack with an exclamation point in them.

Thanks Hal, I would love to see more of these and put the software to work. In the threads I started, I was trying to find out something for myself. Actually I haven't got the whole layout covered yet... Still working on it. :p

You can also use "hotkey" to do this if you don't have the toolbox open (Hotkeys are cool, almost all functions on CueTable can be done with simple keyboard strokes ):

For 8 ball break: Click on Break8 button or press "&" key (shift-7)

For 9 ball break :Click on Break9 button or press ")" key (shift-0)

It's kind of memorizing to watch when you do it fast.:eek: I have been wanting to do a "screensaver" of this where you can get any 1-30 layouts in a minute. It is pretty easy However I have already got some CueTable projects/toys lined up.

Sweet! After reading your post, I noticed that hovering the mouse over the toolbar buttons will show you the hotkey for that button, in between brackets, for example <&>. This is nice feature. :)
