9 ball is a game of angles.

This table lies very easy.

One in the corner.
Two in the side.
Three in the corner.
Four in the corner.
Key shot: 5 in the corner, get the correct angle to follow up to fairly straight in on the 6.
Six on the other corner and slightly draw back for position on the 7 in the bottom corner.
Pocket the 7 in the bottom corner with slight draw to get a low angle on the 8.
Cut the 8 in the corner with centerball and naturally float down to pocket the 9 in the corner.



9 Ball. I love it!

I think the key ball is the 3.

You need to be careful and get on the right side of the 3, to play good position on the 4 without cutting the cb loose. With a good angle on the 4, you can play the 5 in the corner and slide out the center table for the 6 in the same pocket(the 1 ball is down already).

Thanks. In fact, if you look at the random layout that the others are talking about, the first two shots are:

1-ball: One rail, straight back
2-ball: Pass through the center of the table

The rest if you get to the three straight in is relatively an easy out.

Being the rebel that I am:
I stopped on the one ball (Maybe drew back an inch or two)
Shot the two ball with a little bottom and drifted over for the three ball
Shot the three ball and came out one rail for the four ball
Shot the four ball in the corner. Cue ball off the bottom rail
Had long shot on the five ball with an angle to drift over for six ball in same pocket
Shot six ball in corner and drew over to the side rail for seven ball in side
Shot the seven ball and drew back a little for the eight ball
Shot the eight ball and drifted down for the nine ball.
