next thing i want to say is would you believe i was raised from a 4 to a 5 again after last night ????? unbelievable !!!! lmao .
i will try to keep it short but i want to tell you about the last 2 teams we faced.
in the semi finals we faced a team that had several players that were on a team we beat last night. after 2 matches we were 1-1, i dont know the points total as i was not keeping up with it.
i put my self out 3rd and here comes their 7 our 8 beat last night. i guess he wanted no part of our 8 again, lol. i was nervous as heck and it showed with me being down 18-2 after 2 racks. as i am racking the 3rd rack i hear my name called, i look up and see a teamate standing at our table with a beer in her hand saying its for me, i bust out laughing.
i have told on here before about how people honestly think i used to play a lot better when i used to drink . i quit a few years ago. oh i still have one every now and then but dont drink like i used to.
when i get back to the table i take a good swig while my opponent is breaking. my teamates are laughing and say down it , you got a lot of catching up to do. i win that rack andfinish that beer and tell them to get me another one. by the time i finished that beer the match was over and i had won 38-44 .
i honestly dont think the beer had anything to do with it. i thought it was quite comical and had been laughing and it broke the tension inside me allowing me to loosen up and just have fun win or lose. that is when i seem to play my best. about 10 minutes later i went to the bar to get a coke. i had several people stop me and congradulate me on my match. it seems like every one in the place had heard about it. we went on to win the matchup.
in the finals it seemed like on paper and me personaly knowing several of their players the last team was the weakest of any we had faced yet.
due to some real shitty playing by our 4and 3 vs their 4 and 3 we were down 28-12 after 2 matches. i am talking about a whole lot of shitty playing, missed easy ball scratches and just plain leaving theirselves hooked shitty . about the worse i ever seen them play shitty. their opponents were not that good, our guys just played SHITTY !!. one of my teamates said we just had a 5 hour layover since our last match. i said that aint no excuse, so did the other team.
we have an 8, 5 ,2 left. they have a 5, 4, 3 left. as much as i did not want to i threw my 8 since we were in a hole and did not want to fall deeper. sure enough they dumped their 3. we won 16- putting us behind 32-28. they threw their 5 and i went up against him and won 12-8 putting even at 40-40. we throw our 2 and they counter with their 4.
OUR 2 PULLED IT OFF !!!!
she was crying after she sank the last ball and every one jumped up and just started hugging her.
