9 foot valley table? vs regular 7 foot.

So lets say I took the exact measurements of a valley bar box and just increased it up to a 9 foot table. Increased the pocket size to fit 9 foot. Increased the slate shelf. Increased the pocket throat. And everything else that would need increasing. Would it still play the same as the 7 foot model or harder or easier?

What if I just increased the size of the table. Kept the pockets and other measurements the same would it play easier or harder that a regular 7 foot model?

Pocket sizes and such generally do not change on different sized tables, its just a matter of playing field size.

Where you going to get the money to do this, from saving on paying quarters with slugs?

Of course you would need to make everything about 1/4 larger, so you would need a to play with a 16mm tip using a 70" cue on a 9' Valley.
Good news is that in this incredible growing bar the drinks also go up so your scotch is also going up in size.

They make 9’ Valley tables. Just like anything, if they are clean, they play really well. If they’re dirty, they suck.

I have found bar box tables, and most 7’tables but for the Diamond brand, have larger side pockets
and corner pockets than the vast majority of 9’ tables I’ve encountered. It’s one of the reasons I do
not care for smaller tables. Obviously, any table’s pockets can be artificially made smaller but I’m
referring to Valley Bar Boxes & alike. The pockets measured really bigger in contrast to most 9’ tables.

First time I saw the Cannon play...it was on a 9-foot Valley in my city....he was still a teenager.

Most if not every Valley barbox I’ve played on have smaller side pockets, not bigger compared to a 9’ table. And most if not every Valley bar box I’ve played on have 4 1/2” corner pockets as standard.

I don’t know if they still make 9’ tables, but I had to play on one for leage about 30 years ago. They had the big ball, too. What a nightmare.

Every Valley I've played on and the endless others in the same rooms, all had 4 1/2" corners.

RKC has stated standard spec for Valley BBs is 4 1/2" corners.

I really don't understand where the myth started.

I've encountered some bigger than 4 1/2" using two balls to gauge. Sides definitely smaller.
Even the ones that are 4.5" play like they're 5+" with that shallow shelf!😉
