Hi guys, I already own qty 2: 98-12's. An excellent condition used 98-18 came up for sale local to me with the wooden case for $200. I'm super tempted to get it. It's just for my home table, so I can have 3 levels in one shot. (plus the main reason is I absolutely love precision metalworking tools...).

Will the 18" be too long? Thanks!

These might be 18" in the center my mechanic used. Hard to tell from the picture.

I think those are 98-12 and the ones without the 2 holes are 98-8. My 98-12’s definitely have the 2 holes.

For $200 I'd grab it just because. I just paid $165 for a 98-8. My first 98-8 cost $155.

Get the 18" for $200, thats a nice bargain, Im sure you will always be able to get your money out of it. If you buy it and have buyers remorse I would gladly buy it from you. Want me to send you the cash for it now??
