Interested in seeing how some experienced bank players would play this.

CueTable Help

My patterns usually get skewed at some point in the rack so I hardly ever plan a full run, I'm usually playing 3 ahead and reassessing along the way.

I'm not claiming expertise, but here's what I'd do.

I'd start with the 1 ball straight back. I figure this is the only good ball you can shoot at without being forced to hit "off of the rail." With the right speed, you leave for the three cross-side. Pop out a bit to play the 9 cross-corner with enough angle to drift the cueball out to the upper table for the six cross-corner. If you over-run or come short, you have the 7 C-C and the 8 C-S as options. From there, you only need one, so...

Again, I don't often play banks, but that's how I look at it.

As a lefty, I hate the 1 straight back. I'll take the 6 cross corner. It looks from the diagram as if I can hit it right on the nose and count of speed to shorten it just the little bit it needs. I'd like to punch-drift the CB toward the rail, even on the rail is OK, and take the 8 ball cross side or the 7 cross corner next, whichever is laying better.

I've played a lot of banks, and watched some of the best players, and I think the right offensive shot is usually the one you can hit full and hard. Not always, of course, but if there is one of these available, it's probably right.

I like the 7 for the first shot, but i also like cross cut banks.....This allows me to shoot easy, with greater control of the cue ball....according to where the cue ball is positioned..it would also heavily depend on the table.. So in all reality Im not sure what my first shot would be...on most tables im looking at the 7....
